Continuing with the PM4K NEWS Series on the Commonwealth Games Project here’s another update.
NEW DELHI: Severely criticised by the government for holding up ‘development work’, the Delhi Urban Art Commission (DUAC), the body that approves plans of the state’s development projects, has worked out a face-saver.
DUAC has now decided that if it wants changes in the construction plans of development projects, these changes will need to be carried out in two months flat, following which DUAC will give the final nod. In case civic agencies fail to get back on time after making the necessary changes, the Commission will consider such projects ‘returned’ to respective parent agencies. This decision was taken in a meeting on November 18.
